Travel Tips
The best time to visit Starfish Beach is during the dry season (November to April), when the sea is calm, the water is exceptionally clear, and hundreds of red starfish can often be seen beneath the shallow water. During the rainy season, rougher seas and cloudy water may reduce visibility.
Please help protect the fragile marine environment by never removing starfish from the water. Even a short time out of the sea can cause them stress or injury. The most responsible way to photograph them is while they remain underwater.
Morning departures are highly recommended because temperatures are cooler, the sunlight is softer for photography, and visitor numbers are generally lower than later in the day. This allows you to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere before larger tour groups arrive.
If you plan to swim, consider bringing a waterproof bag for your phone and valuables. The beach has limited facilities compared with the more developed beaches in southern Phu Quoc, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking a quieter, more natural experience.
